What the r/RepTime Guide Says

The r/RepTime Who Makes the Best guide (May 2026) shows one ranking for Clean Factory. It lists Clean Factory, shown as "Clean*", as the best factory for the Rolex Air-king 126900 Black dial with a 3230 Clone movement, at the NWBIG tier.

An r/RepTime guide update post of February 2026 by u/MajorWilliams states that the update removed all other Clean Factory entries from the spreadsheet. The post names the removal of Clean Factory from Submariner, Explorer I, Datejust, and other entries where the factory had previously appeared.

Events Reported by r/RepTime (2025)

An r/RepTime thread of June 2025 reported that a wholesaler linked to ZF and Clean Factory had stock seized. Community members noted that this caused order delays for several trusted dealers.

An r/RepTime thread of July 14, 2025 reported that Clean Factory had been raided. Several community members in that thread confirmed delays in fulfillment. Some users stated that the factory owner had been arrested. An r/RepTime thread of July 15, 2025 noted that VSF was still operating after the Clean raid but that increased demand for VSF caused stock shortages at some dealers.

An r/RepTime post of September 19, 2025, from PureTimeWatches, announced the launch of a new operation called Clean Plus under new owners. The post stated that Clean Plus uses the same parts factories as the original and that the Dandong 3235 movement would be included. The first named releases were the Datejust 41, the 126500 Daytona, and the Titanium Yacht-Master 226627. Community members in the thread expressed mixed views, with several questioning whether the quality would match the original Clean Factory output.

What r/RepTime Members Reported

An r/RepTime comparison post of February 2023 described a test of the Clean Factory 126610LN against the genuine. The reviewer used the term VR3235 for the movement and described it as winding more smoothly than any VS movement they had previously used. They rated the bracelet and SELs at 10/10. They noted the crystal as a weakness at the time.

An r/RepTime thread of January 2025 noted that Clean Factory newer batches had crystals "on par with VSF" and that a replacement crystal was no longer necessary on newer stock.

An r/RepTime thread of March 2025 discussed the 126610LN from both VSF and Clean Factory. Community discussion noted that some buyers consider Clean Factory case shape and overall feel as advantages, while the VS3235 movement gave VSF an advantage. The commenter noted the r/RepTime guide ranked VSF above Clean Factory for the 126610 Submariner references.

An r/RepTime QC post of April 2026 showed a buyer who had located remaining Clean Factory stock of the 126610LV Starbucks with SH3235. A community reviewer found index alignment within tolerance and the date window a hair low. A second commenter considered the date window placement too noticeable.

Checking Which Version Is Available

Clean Factory released several Submariner batches over its production period. Serial numbers such as 6R8 and 6R9 indicated newer batches before operations stopped. If a dealer offers Clean Factory stock, ask which batch the watch comes from. Ask the seller to show the movement before confirming the order.
