How to Read QC Photos

Last updated October 15, 2026

QC photos are photos and a video of the specific watch a buyer ordered.

The seller sends them before the watch ships. The buyer then decides to accept the watch or reject it and ask for a different unit. Accepting is called a green light. Rejecting is called a red light. The r/RepTime glossary (reptime.help, October 2026) explains these as the standard terms in the replica watch community for reviewing a watch before shipping.

Before a watch ships from Superclone Lab, we send photos and a video of your specific unit. The product pages on this site currently show the brand's official catalogue photos of the genuine reference. The QC photos you receive are photos of the actual watch that will ship to you. This guide explains what to check in those photos.

Key terms for the parts you will check

The r/RepTime glossary (reptime.help, October 2026) defines the terms buyers use most often when reviewing QC photos. The same glossary notes that all replicas have tells, meaning small visible differences from the genuine model.

  • 2xAR xtal: a sapphire crystal with two layers of anti-reflective coating. Check that the crystal looks clear and that the coating covers it evenly.
  • SEL (Solid End Link): the piece that connects the bracelet to the case. A tight fit between the SEL and the case is a quality sign.
  • DW (Date Wheel): the disc that shows the date. The alignment of the date in the window and the font of the numbers are common QC check points.
  • Cyclops: the magnifying lens above the date window on models that have one. Its position above the date window is a common check point.
  • Bezel: the ring around the dial. Alignment of the bezel is a frequent QC check.
  • Lume: the luminescent material on the hands and the hour indices. The color and how evenly it is applied are QC points.
  • Rehaut: the inner ring between the dial and the crystal. On Rolex models it carries an engraving, and the alignment of that engraving is a common tell.

Using the official brand page as a reference

The r/RepTime Who Makes the Best guide (May 2026) notes that buyers should compare the replica photos to the genuine reference photos and decide how closely the two match. Before reviewing your QC photos, open the official brand page for the reference you ordered and note the key visual details.

Three examples from this shop's range, based on the brand pages:

  • The Rolex 126500LN has a white dial with black counter rings, a black Cerachrom tachymetric bezel, and 18 kt gold applique hour markers and hands with a Chromalight display. (Source: rolex.com, October 2026)
  • The Audemars Piguet 15500ST.OO.1220ST.01 has a blue dial with the Grande Tapisserie pattern, white gold applied hour markers, and a glareproofed sapphire crystal. (Source: audemarspiguet.com, October 2026)
  • The Patek Philippe 5811/1G-001 has a blue sunburst dial with a black-gradient rim, horizontally embossed, and white gold applied baton-style hour markers. (Source: patek.com, October 2026)

Compare each of these features in your QC photos. The r/RepTime newbie guide (reptime.help, October 2026) recommends also looking up previous QC posts for the same model so you know what the common issues are before you review your own photos. You can also post your photos to r/RepTimeQC for community feedback.

How to give your response

The r/RepTime newbie guide (reptime.help, October 2026) advises buyers to check the specific details and not only say the photos look fine. Look at each part listed above. If a part looks wrong, name it and describe what you observe. Giving specific feedback helps resolve problems before the watch ships.

If you are not satisfied with the photos, tell us before the watch ships. We reply to every message within 24 hours. After you give a green light, preparation takes one or two working days. Delivery takes five to ten working days, with tracking, via DHL, EMS or UPS. See our shipping policy and warranty page for full terms.
