The genuine 5227J-001 has a 39 mm yellow gold case with fine curved scalloping from the case-middle to the lugs and a sapphire crystal caseback protected by a dust cover with invisible hinges. The ivory lacquered dial carries yellow gold applied faceted trapeze-style hour markers and yellow gold faceted dauphine-style hands. The self-winding movement has a date aperture and a power reserve of 35 to 45 hours. The case is water-resistant to 30 m.
