The Genuine References
Reference 126234 is the Datejust 36 in Oystersteel and white gold, 36 mm. The reference 126234-0057 has a blue fluted-motif diamond-set dial and a Jubilee bracelet. Rolesor, the combination of Oystersteel and gold on the same watch, has appeared on Rolex models since the early 1930s and was trademarked as a name in 1933.
Reference 126334 is the Datejust 41, also in Oystersteel and white gold, 41 mm. The Datejust 41 was introduced in 2016 for two-tone models and in 2017 for stainless steel variants. WatchBase records reference 126334-0010 as housing the Rolex caliber 3235 with a 70-hour power reserve, a Chronergy escapement and water resistance to 100 m. The Jubilee bracelet, a five-piece link design, was made for the original launch of the Datejust in 1945. The Oyster bracelet, available on some 126334 variants, uses an Oysterclasp and an Easylink comfort extension link.
What the r/RepTime Guide Says
The r/RepTime Who Makes the Best guide (May 2026) covers the Datejust in four size and movement groups. For the Datejust 36 with a 3235 clone movement, VSF is listed as best for case shape and dial at Super Rep tier, and best for movement and crystal (no tier recorded in the guide). For the Datejust 36 with a 3135 clone, ARF is best. For the Datejust 36 with a 2824 or 2836 Asian movement, GMF is best and the guide notes it offers more dial colors and finishes than VSF. For the Datejust 41 with a 3235 clone, VSF is best (Super Rep) and VF is second (Super Rep). For the Datejust 41 with a 2824 or 2836 Asian movement, ZF is best and GMF is second.
An r/RepTime thread of June 2026 explains that the 3235 clone movement has a free-sprung balance, which is closer to the architecture of the genuine Rolex caliber 3235 and adds shock resistance and more stable long-term regulation. The thread notes that a free-sprung balance alone does not make a watch keep better time than a well-regulated traditional movement.

What to Check in the Photos and Video
We send photos and a video of the exact watch you will receive, before it leaves. Check these design points against the reference you ordered.
- Bezel: the fluted bezel on these references is in gold. Rolex describes the fluting as an aesthetic element. On 36 mm dials, the fluted motif also appears on the dial surface.
- Dial finish: 41 mm references (126334) use a sunray finish produced by brushing grooves outward from the center of the dial. The color must be even across the full dial.
- Date window: Check the date font and the alignment of the window.
- Bracelet: confirm whether the bracelet is the Jubilee (five-piece links) or the Oyster, as listed for your specific reference.
